People Who Inspired Me

I really love my family. Especially my parents. They love me whoever or whenever I do some bad things. But person who inspired me a lot is my father. He’s a strong man. He work so hard for my family. For our future, he worked from I woke up until Im gonna sleep. He’s getting older and older every years, and I can’t saw him if he’s tired. Because all I thing is my regret. I am disappointed with my self, why am I didn’t do something that can make my dad proud with her daughter. I always thingking about that and im trying to be a good daughter for him. And I always treated him so special because when I spend my time with him, every minutes every seconds is important for me. It’s becausee my dad worked in Solo, and he came to Bandung just in Saturday and Sunday.

My father’s name was Handy Gunawan. He is son from grand father Akung and grand mother  Apoh. He is the 6^th son from Gunawan’s family. My dad born in 2^nd December. He was so smart and so diligent. His life is full of schedule, so neat and on time. If I said “ please come at 9 pm” he will come right when the clock appoint at 9. My dad was tall enough for an old man, I never exceed my father’s body because I thing my dad getting taller and taller every years.

He had to go to Solo because his office told him to go there and work as team leader in a field. My dad must be tired for worked 5 days a week and went to Bandung just to meet his daughter. But I know it’s a must to avoid lost contact from father to his daughter. That’s why I love him. He will do anything for his family, especially his daughter. I know every dad do the same thing to their child, but I thing my dad had a  few special thing that I adore it so much. He never complain about his life. He always trying to be strong and not telling his problems to others.

I just want to say to you dad, that you are the person that inspired me so bad. You aare my hero and I love you so much. Im sorry that I can’t make you proud now. But I promise, with dad and mom prayers I can make something that make our family proud. At least I can be an useful person and not doing a stupid things that can ruin our life. I thank to God I can live in this family and feel so warm in this family. Please be healthy so dad and mom can see my effort and my result. I really love you dad and mom!

Beauty and The Beast

         Once upon a time, an Enchantress turned a handsome prince into a terrible beast when she discovered his selfishness. She left behind and enchanted rose. If the prince did not find the true love before the last rose petal fell, he would remain a beast forever.

         In a village nearby, Belle lived with her father. More than anything, Belle wanted an adventure like those she read about in her beloved books. Gaston wanted to marry Belle,but she refused. Belle thought he was a beastly bore, and Gaston didn’t understand why she was always reading

 “ it’s not right for a woman to read,” he said.

        Belle’s father, Maurice, was a inventor. His latest invention was an automatic woodchopper, which he was taking to a contest at the country fair.

 “ you’ll win the first prize!” Belle declared.

        On his way  to the fair, Maurice got lost in the woods. A pack of wolves chased him to the gates of a nearby castle. Not sure what he would find inside, Maurice entered the castle grounds cautiosly. Maurice could never have imagined the hideous beast that confronted him. Thinking Maurice had come to stare at him, the Beast was furious. Without mercy, he locked this unwanted visitor in the dungeon.

        When her father’s horse came home alone, Belle went in search of her father and found him locked up. Belle begged the Beast for Maurice’s freedom.

  “ take me instead,” she offered.

        The beast agreed, making her promise to stay in the castle forever! On her first night, Belle met the castle servants. The spell cast by the Enchantress had turned them into enchanted objects! They were funny, friendly, and treated Belle like a special guest.

        At dinnertime, Belle refused the Beast’s invitation to join him, which made him roar with frustration. He was anxious to end the spell – and felt Belle was a sign of hope. Mrs. Potts, the teapot, and Lumiere, the candelabrum, told him to be patient and, above all, kind.

        Later that night, Belle came upon the magic rose the Enchantress had left behind. As belle reached out to touch it, the Beast apeared and grabbed the precious rose.

“ Get out!” he yelled.

        Belle fled the castle on her horse but was attacked by the same wolves that had chased her father. Risking his life, the Beast saved Belle. In the days that followed, Belle began to see the goodness in the Beast.

        One evening, the Beast again invited Belle to dinner. This time she accepted. After dinner, the Beast asked Belle to dance. As they whirled around the ballroom, the Beast realized he was in love with Belle. Because of his love, the Beast let Belle return home to see her father. When Gaston heard her speak fondly of the Beast, he grew jealous and stormed the castle.

        Gaston stabbed the Beast and then was accidentally knocked off the roof. Belle pulled the Beast to safety. “ please don’t leave me,” she sobbed. “ i love you.” As she spoke, the last rose petal fell. Then a shower of sparks filled the air. The Beast began to transform into a handsome prince! Finally, they love each other and happily ever after.

• Otters in General

Otters are carnivorous mammals in the subfamily Lutrinae. Lutrinae is a branch of the weasel family Mustelidae, which also includes badgers, honey badgers, martens, minks, polecats, weasels, and wolverines.

• Etymology

The word otter derives from the old English word otor or oter. This, and cognate words in other Indo-European languages, ultimately stem from the Proto-Indo-European languages root *wódr̥, which also gave rise to the English word "water”.

• Life cycle

The gestation period in otters is about 60 to 86 days. The holt is built under tree roots or a rocky cairn, more common in Scotland. It is lined with moss and grass.

• Terminology

An otter's den is called a holt or couch. Male otters are called dogs or boars, females are called bitches or sows, and their offspring are called pups. The feces of otters are typically identified by their distinctive aroma. After one month, the pup can leave the holt and after two months, it is able to swim. The pup lives with its family for approximately one year. Otters live up to 16 years; they are by nature playful, and frolic in the water with their pups. Its usual source of food is fish, and further downriver, eels, but it may sample frogs and birds.

• Characteristics

Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs. Their most striking anatomical features are the powerful webbed feet used to swim, and their seal-like abilities holding breath underwater. They are notable for their ability to use stones to break open shellfish on their stomachs. This skill must be learned by the young. Otters are active hunters, chasing prey in the water or searching the beds of rivers, lakes or the seas. Otters are playful animals and appear to engage in various behaviors for sheer enjoyment, such as making waterslides and then sliding on them into the water.

Universal Studio Singapore

Today I want to share my experience when I went to Universal Studio Singapore. It is 3 years ago, I went to Singapore for a holiday. With my father and sister, I went for 5 days. I really enjoyed the moment. I went to Bugis street, Orchard road and doing some great activity. And of course, the ice cream for orchard road is a must if you go to Singapore. I like the chocolate one and wrapped with bread,  it is very delicious. It’s more good when you eat the ice cream in the night with your beloved person. I hope I can go there again with my beloved one soon J

               

 Wednesday, I woke up in the morning. I am so excited because today I went to Universal Studio Singapore! I can’t wait anymore but I had to be calm. After breakfast, we went to MRT station to go to the USS. After that, we buy a ticket for 3 and go with a monorail train. We arrived in Sentosa island and queue in USS entrance. There’s so many people there. After 30 minutes waiting, finally we arrived at USS. I went to the Transformers - The Ride first. I saw a long queue there, but I still want to play that game. After waiting for 20 minutes, we can entry the the ride. It was so fun and pleasant.

 

After that, I went to the most terrifying and excited game, it was the Roller Coaster!! There is two Roller Coaster, the blue one and the red one. And I think the blue one is more excited than red because there’s no place to put your foot on. So we can swang the foot whenever you scared. It feels free. I rode the blue twice, and the red once, FOR A ROW! 

After play the roller coaster, I went to MUMI, it was a roller coaster too, but the different is the roller coaster is in the building. It is indoor roller coaster. I am so curious, so I went there to play it with my father. It’s dark and I can’t see everything clearly. One ride maybe for 30 peoples. We can see Cleopatra, their dogs, and many things. But I am so sick with the shiny lamp, it just came from nowhere while everything is dark. I kept my eyes on to see everything that I can see, and what I can see is just shiny and flash from camera. Oh, it is a photo merchandise. After that we walked to outside, we look for the photo result, and it is so funny, my face look ugly but my dad face is cute, he’s closed his eyes while riding that. He is super terrifying.

   

In the Universal Studio Singapore, there’s a lot of game that we can ride, but not all of them, some game cannot ride for adult, and some cannnot ride for the children. It’s by your age or your height. I thing the most excited game is the roller coaster, 4D movies, theater, and the Transformer. I forgot about the other game that. I’ve ever rode. All I remember is just the roller coaster, transformer, and the 4D movies.

          Oh ya, I almost forgot, you must tried the rafting, you will not getting wet because there’s a cup in every chair. One ride maybe for 7-8 peoples. While you rode them, you can saw a dinosaurus there with a RAWR sound. It is so pleasant rode it with your family.

Universal Studio Singapore is so fit for your holiday. You can go with your family, friends, or your couple. It is a pleasant place, but you can’t enjoy all the game for one day. You must buy the ticket for 2 days a row because there’s many games which more excited than what im talking about.  Don’t forget to take a photo in the Universal Studio Singapore Simbol, It was a ball with a letter “Universal Studio Singapore”. Don’t forget to come to USS and have fun guys!!

MEGANTARA

So now I want to tell a story about Megantara. Megantara is a yearly event in SMAN 3 Bandung. And I am doing logistic, which help the other to completed the list or help every division who need something. I sign up my self in H-10 and I feel awkward because I didn’t know anyone in that division, all I know is Kang Fadil and other guy in that class, but im not too close with them. I talked to him and I volunteered for completed the list.

After that, we were separated into groups, and I got a group with all guys and I am the one who girl in the grup. First I feel awkward but then I accepted it anyway. And the list is we have to buy a bamboo and webbing. Only two but hard to find. It’s Thursday and the deadline is in the next Wednesday. I talked to them what sould I buy, but I got nothing, so I worked in the day Megantara be held.

            H-1, I worked hard to make up for my mistake, no longer I go home because nobody recognize me, I feel disappointed with them. But the next day, in the day we held the Megantara, it’s such a good feeling because all my friend is welcomed me so great. I wore a maroon Megantara’s shirt, and I feel great in that day. I met my bestfriend in junior highschool and met my other friends. I took a selfie with my friends and I’m enjoy the show.

              In the evening, There’s The Changcuter and RAN perform in our stage. We’re sooo enjoying it. It’s very happy to dance and scream with my friends and take a photo with The Changcuter. Although I can’t shake hands and took a photo with RAN, but I still happy to met them in real, not in tv. I walked around the stage to find a job. Luckily, I can stand on stage for like 30 seconds just for put the Theatre’s property. In the night I met Difa and take a photo with him, I ate fried rice with him and I feel happy to see him in Saturday night, we’re too busy to take a walk because we’re in different high school.

What makes me happy is when I can ride a pickup car with my friends, I am so excited, I used a pickup car may be up to 8 times. I am enjoying it because I feel cool when I stand up on it B-) what can’t I forgot in that day is the atmosphere and the feeling. I loved living around people, I want to come back to that day again if I can, but that’s just a memory I can remember, and I will not forget Megantara and all my friends who help me through that day. Miss you guys so much!

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

So now, I want to tell a story about my unforgettable moment. First came in my mind is I want to tell about my first love. Should i said his name? maybe not:)). Nothing special in his body. But im in love with his personality. He is kind and tall, with a short curly hair and brown skin. I met  him in my junior high school. But I thing I love in my first sight. Ugh, disgusting:( but im serious, I fell in love with his personality not with his physical. In my mind, he is the best.

First, we are not close, until he fell in love with my bestfriend and I fell in love with his bestfriend too. Hard to say, but that’s the truth. I told a story abot my friend and he told a story about his friend. Such as symbiotic mutualism. Month after month, we are getting closer because we are getting hurt with our choice. But we don’t realize that we had a chemistry between us. So we still chatting for like 3 months.

                Someday, I asked to him, “do you like someone?”. He said, “yes, I do”. Out of curiosity, I asked to him who she was. Before he told to me who she was, he asked me “how about you? Do you like someone?”. With a shame, I replied, "yes, I do." So he told my name, and my heart start beating because I can’t believe we are fell in love each other. Such a good feeling. So we’re keep chatting for like 1 months, until he says “would you like to be my girlfriend?”. AAAAAAA IT’S KILLING ME :((((

            Would you want to now how he says that? Oke, soooo, in the sunny Monday, I school with a good feeling, because yesterday is a day that my cousin’s getting purposed with her boyfriend. And im like, OMG my cousin and my sister is already taken, then how about me? Ugh, disgusting. Next, after we study hard, and bell is ringing, I walked in the school corridor with my friend. Then my boy friend is screamed “Dila, wait, he want to say something”. And I was like, “OMG, I’m going to death right now”. My heart beating so fast like it’s gonna jump from my body (ok that’s too much) but i'm serious because it’s my first time to talk serious with a boy that I like.

            I’m waiting for like 10 minutes, and my friends start saying “come on, just say what you wanna say, we’re waiting for you!” then, he said, “Dila, would you be my girlfriend?”(and he gave me a rose) and im like OMG IT’S REAL. I am confused, so I take the rose and run as fast as I can. I am so embarrassed, but after that day, I still have a relationship with him after like 32 months, maybe more :) he’s birthday is 29 November, and mine is 14 Desember. So close, but he’s older than me, just for 15 days :)) and I loved him, I scared if he loved someone else after me. Keep loving me and I will loving you more and more than yesterday. I love you, dif!

Bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki

          In August 1945, at the end of World War II, there’s tragedy that shocked the entire world. Hiroshima is being bomb with U.S. The tragedy killed about 129.000 people. This is the used of nuclear weapons during the war for the first and last time in history.

          Before Nazi's German surrender 8 May 1945, there is a plan who prepared for big operation in Pasific's war, it was for attacked Japan. This operation devided into two parts: Operation Olympic and Operation Coronet. It's getting started in October 1945.

          Operation Olympic is continue in March 1946 by Operation Coronet near 
Tokyo in Honshu island by the first army. The time was choosed so the all target is reached. The miltary can be send from europe and the winter is done.

          War in Eropa is done after Nazi's German signature the instrument of surrender in 8 May 1945. But, Japan ignored to surrender inconditional to Ally. So then the Pacific's War 

is continue. With China, United States ask Japan to surrender in Potsdam Declaration 26 July 1945.

          Before U.S sent bomb to Japan, they aware Japan if Japan won’t give up, Japan will got “ a very big problem”. But Japan ignored the ultimatum. So in July 1945, Manhattan’s Project succeed the trial of bomb in New Mexico’s desert. After being prepared, U.S dropped the bomb in Hiroshima in 6 August 1945.

         U.S dropped the uranium atomic bomb (little boy) in Hiroshima. President of United States ask Japan to surrender in 16 hours and aware there will be "raining debris from the air that has never happened before". After 3 days, in 9 August, U.S. Dropped the plutonium bomb (fat man) in Nagasaki. 

          Actually, Hiroshima is an important city from Aspects of both industrial and military. 

Many military is there near Hiroshima, including second general army headquarters 

leadership of field marshal Shunroku Hata. Second general army is leading the defense 

in Japanaese southern and headquartered in Hiroshima's palace. 

          Hata sent at least 400.000 soldiers,most of them stationed in Kyushu in anticipation of 

the Allied invasion. In this city there is also the headquarters of the 59th army, the 5th division, 

and division 224, a newly formed unit of the car. The city is protected by five batteries 

of anti-aircrafted weapons 7cm and 8cm (2.8 and 3.1 inches) of anti division 3, including 

a unit of anti-aircraft regiment to 121 and 122 and anti-aircraft battalion seperated 

into 22 and 45. overall more than 40.000 military personnel stationed in Hiroshima. 

          In 2 until 4 months after the bomb, it killed 90.000-146.000 people in Hiroshima and 39.000-80.000 in Nagasaki. Maybe a half people died in the first day. Months after months many of them died because radiation, malnutrition, etc.

          In that 2 country, many people died is the civilians even there's big military in Hiroshima. In 15 August 1945, 6 days after Nagasaki was bombed and U.S. declared war, Japan have to surrender to Ally. 2 September 1945, Japan signature the surrender instruments who automatically end the World War II.

Qurtilas

          So, i want to share my story about qurtilas. Qurtilas mean Qurban Tiga Duaribu Enambelas. And luckily i am on of the comittee. My job is cut and weigh the meat. I am very excited for the day.

           And finally 12 September 2016 was came. I bring a knife and cutting board. I used a dark blue sweater. Im ready for this, I think. I goes to school with a happy heart. After i arrive at school, i meet Raihan and ask him where is the others, and he told "in front of X Mipa 2", "thanks" i said.

          After breakfast with Najma, i go to school again and meet our friends for meeting. We sit in our own grup, and we start talking each other about how we cut the meat and how to touch it because it is gonna be a lot of blood.

          No longer, there is a warm meat came to us and we are so excited to cut the meat. First we have to cut it into a part, then my teacher lift the meat and gave it to us. So we cut them into a pieces.

          Almost two until three hours we cut and weigh them. But after 2hours working, i took a rest first because im too tired for next. After my energy is back, i continue the work. I weigh the meat and put it into a plasti bag which the black one is cow and the red one is lamb. It is fun more than cut the meat because there is not much to do. 

         After all is done, i took a rest again and take a photo with friends. I see many head, foot, skin of lamb and cow inside X MIPA 2. Im a little bit scared of them but i think it's okay because it's already dead.

       I go home at 1 o'clock because im already tired and there's nothing i can do more. I said goodbye to my friends and came home safely.

IM BACK~~~~ YAY~~

           do you miss me like i miss you? nah, just kidding. Btw, HELLO AGAIN, im Dila and now im in X MIPA 10.. so i have to answer a question, "why did you choose SMAN 3?"

    Pfftt, i was like, really? everyone wants to study in here! live around genius people is so cool, but frustrating too.. but why did i choose SMAN 3? because, why not? if there's a chance for me to school in here, why do i have to studied in another school? everyone knows about SMAN 3, how diligent they are, how genius they are, and how creative they are, and i was like, seriously? can i chase them all? im not sure, really, my first option is not SMAN 3, i choose SMAN 3 because i want a bright future, i want to grow up with people who can guide me to a better place. and guess what? i did it! Alhamdulillah i can studied in here and grow up with great people, super kind teacher and fantastic area. the school is clean and the toilet is not bad. i love the way senior treated us, they're super kind and not starting a new fight like other school, ups! but im serious, SMAN 3 Bandung is not like other school, this is a perfect school for those who wants a brighter future and million friends, ok that's too much haha.. i think this is the end of this little mail, i really love my friends, and my school, thankyou for god who make this dream come true, i never think that i will studied in here, but i will do my best for my future, ok, done, BYE SEE YOU NEXT TIME GUYS!!!

 Assalamualaikum, Hello! this is my first blog and i hope you guys like what im posting about. ok then, lets start!


                Hei, my name is Syahdila Gunawan and im from Bandung. now im in SMAN 3 Bandung and doing some work in computer lab. i have one sister and she's in ITENAS now. my mother was bussines woman, and my father was working in Solo and Purwokerto.
      
                 Now im studying english in school and im kinda feel weird because im usually talk in bahasa, just sometime im talking with english. i can understand what people talking about but sometimes i cant talk perfectly in english. im still practice with my father whenever i meet him i speak english but not everyday.

                 i have 6 cat.3 cats adult and 3 kitten. i love them so much, i feel like they are my children. i feed them everyday, i carry them and i hug them. oh ya, it is 5 boy and 1 girl. it is the prettiest cat i've ever had, after it's mother of course. she got that pretty from her mother, name cantik.but cantik is already dead,and i really miss her.
